As a freelance creative director for BET’s Brand Creative team, I led the writing, production, and concepting for the 2023 Soul Train Awards.

 

The challenge was reimagining the show in a new venue while keeping its legacy and energy intact. I pitched the big idea “The Party Never Stops” to bring a house party vibe to a mansion in the Hollywood Hills and make the experience feel fresh and immersive.

 

The concept landed, and the show came to life with a new energy that still honored the Soul Train legacy.
